Okay, okay…

I suck. I totally thought I scheduled my “Colors of the Rainbow TAG” video to post yesterday, but it never did! I’m actually kinda glad it didn’t to be honest, I forgot to add the pics! So, since I’m already at work and doing this post from the store computer, I can’t add the pics and post it. But keep an eye out for it sometime this week. I’m also launching a fun Birthday/horoscope sign countdown on Monday too, and there will be another book review Monday as well! Woohooo, but to hold you over, please go to the link below for the cutest video! & enjoy your Saturday-after work, I’m off to LM’s grad party with btooth =) XO!

So today’s video(s) aren’t actually music related at all…but instead they’re two beauty TAG videos from my fave youtube sisters, Elle and Blair Fowler. I’ve said it before, but I love their style and videos so much. I’m posting these “Color of the Rainbow” TAG videos cause tomorrow I’ll be posting my blog post doing the same TAG for you! So to get you with a better idea of what it is exactly (incase you don’t know..) check out their vids! Xo!

PLL Style

This week is all about my second fave character on the show…Spencer!

x

Spencer is a mix of preppy princess meets feminine fashionista. I love her style and she always looks put together, even when she’s locked away in Radley. I’d love to see her change up her hair style to the one above. I think she’d look great with it.

x

I’d kill to see Spencer in a totally different look like this one above. She’d have to raid Hanna’s closet to grab some of this look, but I think she could pull it off. I like the darker jewelry for her too cause it’d def be completely different for her. Next week, I’ll focus on my fave character, Hanna. Until tomorrow, Xo!

Brief Summary:

Owning a restaurant is as crazy for Nicky Landry as an alcoholic owning a bar. But despite having to cram herself into a body shaper to look decent in a dress, life is pretty good. She’s throwing the party of the year for her graduating doctor boyfriend, Rob, who she’s sure is going to propose—until his new girlfriend shows up at the party. After ordering Rob to get his stuff out of her house and get lost, Nicky finds him faceup with her expensive Chroma knife sticking right out of his cheating heart. As the prime suspect, Nicky is in hot water. And no matter how hard she tries to clear her name, her problems only mount. She’s convinced she can solve the murder—if only she can figure out the identity of the skinny person seen walking away with Rob after the party. Getting “Skinny” won’t be easy for Nicky, but she never imagined it would be life or death…

Review:

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ‘Getting Skinny’ is another one of those books, the ones I can’t put down, can’t wait to know what happens, can’t wait to recommend books. You know the type and around here, we call them 5 star books! The story had me from page 1 and it took a lot to put it down. I was “Team Nicky” from the get-go. She was so relatable, I just wanted to share a piece of cake with her or hug her. The story wasn’t your typical mystery, but more of a story of mystery, self acceptance, and friendship. It had me guessing until the very end. I honestly can’t wait til I read this book again, it was that good! And any book that comes with recipes, is a keeper for sure…! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery, but an even better story. It would make a fab book club read, xo!

Question…

I think I’ve mentioned a time or two (or ten…) that I’m obsessed with nail polish. But when I was thinking about it, I wear 52 nail polishes a year. On my nails and toes. So that justifies why I buy so many…right? I’ve worn all my new Loreal’s and am patiently waiting for my next trip down a nail aisle so I can get a new one (or two…or five.) I’m not one of those girls that wears one once and won’t ever wear it again either. I just like options. Oh nail polish, I will never be able to quit you. Happy Friday! Xo!

Brief Summary:

A decorated police officer, more intent on justice than following the letter of the law, lands in trouble when a gorgeous schoolteacher finds a dead body on the beach. Officer Donovan Andrews knows how to have a good time—ask any woman in town. But when it comes to men abusing their wives or children, Donovan takes it upon himself to make them regret it. Madeline Scott is unlucky in love. All she wants is a quiet place to heal, away from cheating, womanizing men. However, her life is far from peaceful once she stumbles across the body and witnesses someone fleeing the scene. Terror spreads in Pleasant View when the small community hears a killer is on the loose. All evidence points to Donovan, and he realizes someone is trying to frame him. When troubling suspicions from his past surface, even fellow officers believe he’s guilty. Madeline might be the only person who can clear his name, but first he has to win her trust. The body count rises and no one is safe. The murderer makes it clear Madeline is next. Soon, Donovan’s whole world is focused on protecting her and keeping himself out of prison. The more time he spends with her, the harder it is to fight his growing attraction. However, she’s been burned by love, and convincing Madeline he’s interested in something more than hot sex may prove harder than keeping her alive.

Review:

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. In this 3 star book, Crime and Passion, has a lot of both of those in Madeline’s story. The suspense of the book kept me wanting to turn the page and figure out these crimes that kept popping up. Right when I thought I figured it out, wham, something happened that threw me off the murder’s path. I love books like that, I normally can figure out the criminal in murder mysteries, but this story kept tricking me. And the passion between Madeline and Donovan was H-O-T! I was rooting for them right from the beginning. The only thing I’d change about the book, may be the title. When I’m shopping for a new book, I normally get drawn in my the title and then the cover. I don’t think I would’ve picked up this book, cause the title reminds me of a love novel you can pick up in the grocery store, and this book is a lot more than that! I would recommend this book as a definite beach read (or snowed in read…!) and it’s a great reminder to never “judge a book by it’s cover.” Xo!

This week is Aria’s turn!

Aria’s sense of style is like boho chic meets rocker chick. Last season, she started to get into a little more of a feminine look which I really liked on her. So that’s why I chose the below outfit as something I’d like to see her in.

x

I would love to see Aria in more bright colors to make her dark hair and pretty eyes pop. I think the tribal print leggings keep with her funky style, but all the gold accents make it just girly enough. Next week’s it’s Spencer’s turn! Until tomorrow, Xo!
