4pm pick me up!

There is something about this song that I just love. I’ve never been big into country, even tho I’ve been playing Lady A’s ‘Own The Night’ non-stop lately, I think I may be becoming a fan…Xo.

Mascara Review #6

Week Six

d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX

  1. This mascara really lengthens. It was almost like it was adding lash extensions.
  2. Holds a curl.
  3. Made my lashes look super long!!
  4. Lasts all day (and the next day…)
  5. Doesn’t come off when crying. (Yep, I was cryin’ again..this time over ‘The Vampire Diaries’)

  1. The formula is so wet that if you aren’t careful when applying, it will get all over. Everywhere. Trust me, I know this for a fact…

I was super surprised by this mascara. The wet formula had me nervous the first time I used it, but I was really happy with the results. It made my lashes really long and was easy to build on. I was also surprised how well it look the next day when I fell asleep with out taking my makeup off, my lashes still had the day before’s curl and everything. I would recommend this mascara to anyone who’s looking for a quick lengthen mascara, that gets thicker with each swipe. Just be careful when applying, the wet formula got all over my eyelid the first time I applied it. Red Carpet Style.

I had so much fun imagining myself attending the Grammy’s that, I figured I’d take a shot at the Oscars. This was a little bit harder, as to this is fashion’s biggest night. You don’t want to mess up the Oscars’ red carpet, George Clooney and Brad Pitt would be there people…! Anyways, back to the fashion…for this big night, I decided on a dramatic blue gown. I paired it with an Oscar de la Renta neckalce and a Martin Margiela gold and silver clutch.

Would I make the best dressed list or end up on the dreaded worst dressed list?! Let me know, Xo.

Slow Cooker Sunday!

In honor of pjs all day, I’m making my Grandma’s beef stew. I always loved cold winter days when I would come home after a long day of school and cheerleading to find my gram had made her beef stew. It’s the easiest recipe, but it’s full flavored and always delish. Every time I make it, it reminds me of her and all of our special times, and makes me miss her even more than I do. Always in my heart gram<3.

Grandma’s Beef Stew

Yields 5; 1 cup servings

Beef Cubes (about a pound and half)

Baby Carrots (about half a bag); put in whole

Celery; diced into 1/4 inch pieces

Potatoes; diced (I used baby red potatoes, that way I only had to dice em in half)

1 Package of Onion Soup Mix

1 cup Water

2 tbsp Flour

Combine all of the above in crockpot and stir. Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8. Half hour before serving, add 2 tbsps flour to thicken up the base. I add a little bit of pepper once I put the serving in my bowl. And enjoy! Told ya it was easy, Xo.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, is by far one of my most favorite things. I collect anything Paris or Eiffel Tower related. These are a few prints I’m ready to add to the always expanding collection!

Today, I’m off to one my childhood bestie’s (of 21 years!) son’s 4th birthday party (which is insane to me, cause in my mind somedays we’re still in HS.) I’m really looking forward to seeing her family and having fun at this pirate themed party! Hope you enjoy your Saturday, Xo.
