Black FIVEday!

Happy Black Friday, if you’re a shopper! If not, Happy Friday! Had an awesome short week of work. Thanksgiving eve was a blast out with some friends and Thanksgiving was probably my most favorite one to date! Today, November 29th is one of my favorite days of the year, it’s Zoey’s Gotcha Day (aka the day I got her!) It’s a day full of extra kisses, cuddles, and of course toys! She’s OBSESSED with the first one she got. I hope you all have an amazing weekend, xo!

Finally found my perfect red lipstick-MAC Prepare for Pleasure. Wore it out with my dolls Tgiving Eve!

Between puzzles, crack the case, food, letters to Santa, and Frozen-triplet night was a major success. Btw, I HIGHLY recommend Frozen. It may be the best movie I’ve seen in years. LM bought me the soundtrack as an early Xmas gift, so obsessed!

A closer look at what I asked Santa (aka Tim Allen) for…!

How presh is my baby?

Sable Collar from the Essie winter collection is up next for the mani/pedi.

A quick Thanksgiving recipe…

This year we aren’t making a turkey for home. Last year was the first year we ate at Gram’s, but I made a turkey (my first!) on black Friday so we could have leftovers. This year, we’ll just be eating at Gram’s. But I wanted to share the stuffing my dad makes. For us, this stuffing does double duty as a side for dinner and a dessert for later (if you don’t like warm fruit like me)

Fruit Stuffing

  • Apples- Macintosh and Rome
  • Pears
  • Craisins
  • Raisins
  • Mandarin Oranges and the juice
  • Light brown sugar

Mix all of the above in a bowl and then stuff your turkey. Cook your turkey as you normally would. Like I said, we would put some of the stuffing out at dinnertime and then again at dessert. For dessert, I love it with fat free cool whip! I wish you all the happiest of Thanksgivings tomorrow, xo!

ps. I’m beyond thankful for each and every one of you!

Red Carpet Style.

x x

For Sunday night’s AMAs, I’d rock a printed mini dress with all black accessories. To complete the look, I’d wear black polish, a pink lip, and some silver smokey eyes. My hair would be in loose long curls like Victoria Secret Angel hair. It would’ve been a great night of music and fun and of course JT<3! Let me know what you think of this look, until tomorrow, xo!

A Book In Review.

Brief Summary:

With Christmas only three days away, Carol Claus agrees to her father’s request that she leave the North Pole on a mission to help save Christmas. Joining single father Ben Hanson and his children for the holidays seems an easy enough task until Santa informs her that Ben is the man behind the disturbing new book ‘Beyond Bah Humbug: Why Lying to Your Children about Santa Claus is a Bad Idea’. Posing as Miss Kane, the children’s new nanny, Carol pulls out all the stops to show Ben how fun Christmas can be, all the while struggling to understand how one man could hate the holidays so much. How could she, Santa’s only daughter, be so attracted to a man who refuses to believe her father exists?
**Please note – this book was originally titled Carol’s Christmas**

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I was so excited when I saw that CLP would be running a Christmas story! I love kicking off the Holiday season early. This book was such a joy. It was an easy read that was hard to put down. It’s the perfect book to get you in the Holiday spirit. It will make you laugh and you’ll be anxious to see how it ends. This 4 star read is full of fun, love, and Christmas, enjoy it with some hot chocolate and twinkle lights, xo!
