Red Carpet Style.

For this past Sunday’s, Grammy’s I would channel a whole darker, vampy look. This Alice + Olivia lace gown is the perfect mix of romance and dark. I went with black and silver diamond jewels to accompany it. The Cartier bracelet jumped out at me. I feel like with a dark dress you can go a little wild with jewels, and what better way than with a panther bracelet?

For beauty, I’d continue the vampy feel with a wine ombre mani and a berry lip. I’d keep the makeup light and sweet. Since my dress goes up past my collarbone, I’d have an up-do with a thick braid running thru it. I love this complete look and think it’d be perf for the Grammy’s red carpet. Would I make the best dressed list? Let me know, xo!

If you’re expecting a happily ever after, a white picket fence and 2.5 kids; then this isn’t the story for you.

There aren’t any happily ever after in the works for me or those whose lives I poison.

I hold the key to my pleasure and I’ll be damned if I ever give it up again.

God forsake those that stand in my way of ultimate gratification.

You may regret me, but you’ll never forget me.

Use or Be Used, there are no other options…

*This story contains dirty words, dirty sex and an even dirtier twist.*

You didn’t honestly think you could get rid of me just yet, did you?

New town, new faces and by far my biggest conquest yet. I will have him. There is no doubt in my mind.

His name rolls right off my tongue and drips deep down to my core.

Tall, dark and undeniably handsome.

Seducing is the name of the game, but he’s not falling for it… Yet!

Of course that doesn’t deter me. You should know me better by now.

The only thing left to do is up the ante’. My cold, dead heart at the center of the prize table, up for grabs to my next victim.

Until it suddenly starts to beat again.

Don’t panic, I know I’m not. Temporary malfunction, that’s all! Nothing more, nothing less.

My heart must be confused. Simply. Fucking. Confused.

My finger is on the trigger.

Steady. Aim. Fire.

I’m determined to finish what I’ve started.

I am a lot of things, but a quitter isn’t on the list.

I’m not asking for love, hope or even pity.

In fact, if you give me any of those things, it may be you with the gun aimed at your heart.

All I’ve ever asked is to be understood.

Unfortunately, for the person that finally does, they’ll be the one to take the bullet.

A book in review.

Book Description

Business is sweet for pastry chef Indira Aguilar. Her indie bakery, Cake Pan, is fast becoming the talk of the wedding circuit for its unique take on cakes and homespun creations for the modern bride, garnering national recognition and drawing in celebrity clients. But while her professional life is blossoming, her personal life is crumbling. Indira may have a talent for blending buttercream into bliss, but when it comes to relationships, she’s got a lot to learn. Considering that the love of her life, Josh Oliver, is not only married, but also runs the award-winning pastry department of her fiercest competition, Crystal Cove Resort, Indira puts much more at stake than just her heart when she ends her affair with him. Rumors begin to fly as the small seaside community of Long Beach learns of her secret relationship, and Indira must defend not only her actions, but her wedding business and her reputation while trying to maneuver the choppy heartbreak waters of starting over, finding new love, and facing her past. With the support of friends, family, a fondness for butter, and a determined spirit, Indira may just bake her way back to happiness and possibly into the heart of Crystal Cove’s dishy new chef, Noah. But one thing is certain. Where there’s heartbreak, there must be cake.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. From the first word of this story, I was hooked. I couldn’t get enough of the delicious dessert or the delicious drama that seemed to follow Indira. Her story makes you think of other’s motives and intentions. Her journey thru finding out how to make her business work, finding what she really wants out of love, and all the yummy treats in between makes for the perfect 5 star read! I recommend this book to anyone who likes well written chick lit, that will make you laugh, cry, and want a tall glass of milk with a side of chocolate cake, xo!
