Crockpot Recipe!

*Disclaimer; I wrote this recipe on Saturday night. Sunday, I got up and put it together and turned on the crockpot. It made the house smell delicious all day long. I took a piece of pork out of the crockpot, added the ff sour cream, and took a picture to add to the recipe. Cut to dinner, Don (my dad) couldn’t stop telling me how good the “Zesty Italian Pork” was. I replied with “you mean Mexican pork, right?” he gave me a puzzled look and said “it doesn’t taste Mexican at all…definitely Italian.” Sigh, so this recipe below is not in fact a Mexican recipe or good for Cinco de Mayo. It’s a Zesty Italian Pork that would be great over pasta. Which is how I will be eating it from now on. 

Today’s crockpot recipe is a delicious Mexican style pork, which would be perfect for Cinco de Mayo which is a week away. (Hello, it’s almost May, sheesh!)

Mexican Style Pork

3-4 boneless porkchops

2 16oz cans of Zesty Chili Style Tomatoes

2 tablespoons of green chili sauce

1 dash of buffalo sauce

1tbsp of chili powder

1 tsp of minced garlic

Throw the pork on the bottom of the crockpot and then put everything over top. Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with rice or shred the pork and use the mixture for tacos! Garnish with avacado and fat free sour cream & enjoy the perfect Mexican pork dinner dish, xo!
