DIY*Colorful Background Picture Frames

x

I love the look of writing on the glass of picture frames, so I was inspired to make this colorful and fun. I made these picture frames for under $2 each! They’d make the cutest little gift and you could even use them as name tags for gifts!

What you need:

  • Paint Samples
  • Picture Frames
  • Glue
  • Dry Erase Marker

Take the frame apart and choose which color paint samples you’d like to use. As you’ll see below, I stuck with themes for each frame. Cut the samples in the shapes you’d like the colors to be. Glue the samples onto the back of the picture frame. Once your new colorful background is dry, put the frame back together. Now get creative with your writing and what you’ll say.

How cute is this smaller one I made for baby bestie in her fave colors?

And the best part is, no matter what you write you can always erase it! This project would be fun for a kids’ birthday party or just something to jazz up your home decor, Xo!

A Book In Review.

Brief Summary: Della Wright has come to peaceful and picturesque Briar Hollow, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, to realize her lifelong dream of owning a weaving studio. To promote her new business, Dream Weavers, Della is offering weaving workshops for all levels of ability. In her first class, she meets half a dozen of the town’s colorful characters, who seem as eager to gossip as to learn how to work a loom.  But when a shady local businessman is found murdered, Briar Hollow suddenly appears a lot less idyllic. And when one of her weaving students is suspected of the crime, Della can’t help getting entangled in the investigation—with some help from her criminologist friend, Matthew. But can she weave together clues as well as she weaves together yarn—and stop a killer from striking again?

Review: I received this book in return for an honest review. This was a fun mystery and I really liked the main character, Della. I thought she was so likable and always made me laugh. I was a little lost within all of the talk of weaving cause I wasn’t to familiar with it, but now I’d like to give it a whirl. I will most definitely be reading the next book in this series cause I need to know how Della’s love life works out. I give this book 3.5 stars, it’s a great, fun mystery that keeps you guessing until the very end. If you like witty mysteries, this book is for you! Xo
