But what they find is more than anyone expects…Something strange is lurking under the surface of the murky waters of the river.
Review:
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I was so excited to dive into this book and it didn’t disappoint! I was hooked and glued into the story from the start. There were so many twists and unexpected turns. I don’t ever really read books told from a man’s point of view so having a strong male lead was great. I really can’t get over how much I enjoyed this crazy roller coster ride. I recommend this 4 star read to anyone who is looking for a really well written story that keeps them guessing from the start, xo!

Brief Summary:
One of Hollywood’s hardest working women is about to discover there’s a lot more drama behind the camera than in front of it…
Faith “Freakin’” Sinclair probably shouldn’t have called her boss a perv…or grabbed his “privates.” But as creator of the hit dramedy Modern Women she’d had enough of his sexist insults. Now she’s untouchable in the industry—not in a good way. The only way to redeem herself is to convince Alex the wildly popular wildly demanding former star of her show to come back. But there’s one obstacle in her way—one very handsome broad-shouldered obstacle…
Professor Mason Mitchell is head of the theater department where Alex is studying “real” acting. The only way he’ll let Faith anywhere near Alex is if she agrees to co-teach a class. It’s an offer she can’t refuse—and as it turns out the professor just might end up teaching Faith that there’s more to life than work—and that real-life love scenes are way more fun than fake ones….
Review:
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This 3.5 star book made me laugh out more times than I could count. The main character, Faith has to restart her career and the journey the author takes you on is a wild ride for sure. I was rooting for Faith the from the beginning! She is so likable, it’s hard not to get caught up in the whirlwind. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read, it’s a great book to curl up next to the fire and laugh the weekend away, xo!
Author Bio:
Jayne Denker is the author of three contemporary romantic comedies, By Design, Unscripted, and Down on Love, and is hard at work on a fourth. She lives in a small town in western New York, USA, with her husband, son, and one very sweet senior-citizen basement kitteh who loves nothing more than going outside, where she sits on the front walk and wonders why she begged to go outside. When Jayne’s not hard at work on another novel (or, rather, when she should be hard at work on another novel), she can usually be found frittering away stupid amounts of time online.

What a week! From celeb news to spending time with Peanut, I’m so glad it’s Friday. Tonight I’m heading to a Glee performance at the college where my dad works. Tomorrow, I’m spending ‘Make a Difference Day’ with my co-workers and Habitat for Humanity. And Sunday, I’m going to relax! Let’s jump into my recap like we’re jumping into a pile of leaves…! Xo.
A little fun at the Halloween store getting some ideas…
My fave celebs all had some pretty special moments this week. Melissa Rycroft announced she’s pregnant with baby #2! I really hope her and Tye have a little boy cause they already have the cutest little girl! And the Kimye engagement looked pretty spectacular. You can check out some footage of both events; here & here
Qt with my little Peanut was the perfect way to break up the week. I can’t explain how much I love that little girl.
As an afternoon “chreat” (cheat and treat together), I had this Giants colored donut. Cause well it’s also the color of the Rangers and I hoped it would help them to a victory.
My dad surprised me with this nail polish from OPI ‘Girls Achieve Grapeness’ that he bought at a fundraiser. Can’t wait to rock it next week! The proceeds go to Jewish Women International working with SDT to end violence against women. For more information head to jwi.org/grapeness
One of my favorite Whitney songs. Such a fresh take on it. Take a listen, xo!

I have a new favorite beauty product. It’s my second favorite type of product next to nail polish…yep, you guessed it, it’s a new mascara!
L’Oreal Volumious Lash Out Butterfly Mascara in Brown Black
Pros;
Cons;
I think I found a winner in this mascara and I plan on keeping it around for a while. I got mine a local beauty supply store, but you can find it at any drug store or Target. Until next time, xo!

Review:
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I was so surprised how fast this book sucked me in! I was so fascinated by the world the author painted and couldn’t wait to get to the next page. This book will take you on a wild ride as there is plenty of twists and turns throughout this fresh series starter. I recommend this 4 star book to anyone who’s looking to start a new series and doesn’t want the same old story. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry, and most importantly it’ll leave you guessing until the very last page. Can’t wait for the next one, xo!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Lisa was born in the UK and she moved around Europe with her military family before completing a BA (Hons) in English at the University of Leeds. Her home is now in Perth, Australia with her husband and three children. Lisa has written since she was a child – moving from writing poems and short stories aged nine to writing novels in the last few years. With the encouragement of her family and local writers group, Lisa found the confidence to share her latest paranormal romance series with the world.
In between running her home based craft supplies business, looking after her family, and writing, Lisa sometimes finds spare time to do other things. This often involves swapping her book worlds for gaming worlds. She even leaves the house occasionally, enjoying walks with her dog and time with her family. She loves all things from the Whedonverse and preferred vampires before they sparkled.
Lisa enjoys reading both classics and modern fiction. Her favorite genres are gothic, paranormal and urban fantasy, but she also enjoys contemporary new adult. She is currently working on more books in the Soul Ties series, and has other projects lined up waiting.

Blog Tour Questionnaire
Do you see writing as a career?
Yes, I have a supportive family who will help me follow my dream. I’ve come a long way to go to make it a ‘career’ but just having the opportunity is fantastic.
Who or what is your inspiration?
A few teachers inspired to develop my writing throughout my school life, both at primary and at high school. When I was a teen I wrote a ‘serial’ story and gave a chapter a week to my friends. I was inspired to write because I realized people enjoyed my stories.
Do you have any pets?
A Weimaraner named Tilly who is not the brightest of dogs.
Early bird or night owl?
Night owl.
Any tips for new writers?
Write. Every day. And read a lot too! The biggest challenge I faced was finishing a first draft rather than jumping to a new project. Focus on finishing something.
Head over to my wordstoliveby pinterest board and see if any of my quotes fit how you’re feeling right now. Til tomorrow, xo!

Review:
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I couldn’t believe how close I felt to the main character, Heather right off the bat. Her story is real, raw, and honest. This love story will make you feel as if you’re just catching up with an old friend. This 3.5 star book has tons of moments that will make you laugh or cry, it’s refreshing of how honest it is. If you’re looking to get sucked into a whirlwind adventure of a woman’s ups and downs, then this book is for you, xo!
