Look of the Week!

x

Haven’t done one of these in a while, I will be getting back into the swing of things now that Summer is winding down. But what’s a better week to start back up then the week of the VMAs and Emmy’s?? Here’s my picks from both events, xo!

You know I had to have my girls on here. Kendall literally kills every carpet her heels hit!

As far as the Emmy’s go, Sarah Hyland STOLE the carpet in this look. #gorgeaward

Sheesh, back to back red carpets? Celebrity Kayla is pooped 😉 For TV’s biggest night, I would wear this gorgeous emerald Lavin gown. Paired with black studs and a beautiful black and gold Oscar de la Renta statement necklace. A grey smokey eye with long lashes, a coral lip, and a low messy bun, help take this outfit to Emmy carpet level. Let me know who’s look you loved from Monday night, xo!

For music’s funest night, I would wear this gorgeous gold mini dress. The hot pink tassles on the bottom scream VMA’s to me. It’s the right amount of sparkle and pop of color. I’d keep my accessories pretty neutral. Same with my nails and lips, a nice baby pink for both. The gold in my eye makeup would help pull the look together. Throw my hair into a casual pony and I think I have the right look for the night. A little bit of over the top, but enough casualness to make it look like I didn’t try too hard. Let me know what you think of this look, xo!

Red Carpet Style!

For this last night’s Billboard Music Awards, I went bright and Springy. The bright orange dress with a back cutout would be a perfect pop of color. Add in some gold accessories and  a white clutch and I’d be good to go.rcs; bbma

Off white nails, matte lips, big lashes, and a perfect blowout help finish this look off. Let me know what you would’ve rocked to this big music event in the party capital of the world, xo!

Giving you a two-fer! I loved both Blake’s and Kendall’s Cannes looks for earlier this week. SO glam and both so different. They are killing that carpet.

Sorry for being MIA most of the week, I’ll be back in regular action next week, xo!

Red Carpet Style & Big Met Gala Recap!

It must be fashion week here on kc&bo, but I don’t hate it! Here’s what I would’ve worn to the 2014 Met Gala.

rcs; met

This dress is made for a Princess. That’s what I love about the Met Gala, everyone looks like royalty. I’d keep it so simple with my jewels, I’d layer 3 different Tiffany’s bracelets and wear the gorgeous Tiffany scroll earrings.

Very simple for the makeup as well. I think the dress is the drama for the night and the deep red definitely gives drama. I love the simple silver nails and highlighted inner corners on the eyes. The hair would be up and out of my face so you can really see the earrings. Nude lips would make this complete. Let me know whatcha think, xo!

Red Carpet Style

Here’s what I would’ve worn to the White House Correspondents dinner.

rcs; wcd

I love this Alexander McQueen Sleeveless dress. I think the embellishment on the waist makes it the perfect dress for this A-list dinner. I kept it light on the jewelry, but I really love this intricate design of Aurelie Bidermann ‘Nympheas’ cuff. I’d love to wear this cuff with a super casual outfit as well. On to the beauty that accompanied the dress.

An easy delicate up-do, black nails, simple eye makeup, with a gorgeous dark pink/red lip makes the look complete. Let me know what you’d wear to this star studded event, xo!

Red Carpet Style

This past Sunday was the MTV Movie Awards. Here’s a peek at the laid back look I’d rock on the red carpet.

x

A mix of gold jewelry with this gorgeous jumpsuit keeps the look laid back. The matching Christian Louboutin Mina Spikes Clutch and Leather Pumps are what make this look so glam. The Movie Awards isn’t a serious carpet, so I’d be willing to take a risk with this look and keep it ultra beachy with my hair and makeup. The messy, long fishtail with the model’s neutral makeup with a coral lip and Essie’s Tart Deco takes it over the top.

Red Carpet Style.

This past Saturday, Nickelodeon held it’s annual Kid’s Choice Awards. Take a peek of what I would’ve rocked on the carpet!

x

Big curls, pink smokey eye, baby pink lips, and a light pink polish to off set my fun patterned dress.

x

Jimmy Choo sandals & gold bangles balance out the fun of this patterned Antonio Berardi dress in a fun, bright blue. The gorgeous Margo earrings add some more blues into this look. How fun is that Charlotte Olympia Sunny clutch?! I think this is the perfect accessory for this kid event, I mean what other red carpet could you use that? Let me know if you’d pick me as best dressed or not, xo!

Red Carpet Style.

Here’s how I styled the Lanvin gown you picked for me to “wear” to the Oscars this past Sunday night!

x

The dress has a gorgeous Greek goddess feel to it and the color would pop on the carpet. I love purple and gold together, so that’s the route I chose when styling the gown. A little Tiffany’s on my wrist makes the jewelry complete…according to the details the jewelry alone costs $39,895 (I love these posts for the simple fantasy part…)

As for beauty, I kept it simple with nude nails and simple makeup. I’d rock some fancy, pulled back, detailed hair to help show off the $24,000 earrings.

x

Let me know how you liked how I styled the dress you picked to rock on the Red Carpet. The looks I loved from the night where Giuliana Rancic who looked like a fairy princess in her amazing gown and Jennifer Lawrence who looked gorgeous in Dior (which her dress looked very similar to the other dress option I gave you to pic from…we were meant to be besties. I’m sure of it!) til next time my pretties, xo!
